“I design across a range of disciplines. Starting out as a fashion designer I learnt to weave in order to create the fabrics I couldn’t buy.”

“I experimented with surface decoration too, dyeing and hand painting velvet and  silk chiffon.”

Jasmine’s work has always been technique driven. The completion of one project always sparking ideas for the next.

“I developed and refined methods for dyeing velvet, and over many years I have produced ranges of fashion accessories and I design textiles and hangings to commission for interiors.”

Latterly Jasmine has returned to her primary preoccupation, creating woven fabrics using natural fibres, aiming to achieve suppleness and tactility and cutting intricate patterns that enhance the human figure.
